We are extremely proud to announce that Taijah Fraser has signed for Middle State Tennessee University for the Fall of 2022.
𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬? "As a footballer one of my dreams in life has always been to play D1 Women’s Soccer, where I knew I could take my game a couple steps further, and MTSU is that dream coming true. I see a bright future for myself as well as the team at MTSU and I see myself being a major asset to help secure us some championships. MTSU is the perfect beginning of a new journey for me and I believe not only through soccer but through education it will open a lot of doors for me. Not to mention, from the first time Coach Rhoden and I spoke conversation was easy and comfortable, he also set me up with all the tools I needed to make my decision."
𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦? "Yes, I did have other opportunities, but none of them fit well enough for me. And some offers showed up right before or after I had already verbally committed and had my vision set on MTSU."
𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗬𝗢𝗨? "Sports Ambitions took me on even though it meant I was going to be starting my recruitment process later than usual and helped me above all get noticed. Specifically Coach Rhoden found out about me through a highlight video Yannick from Sports Ambitions sent him. On top of that, Gabriel helped me to set up everything I needed for this process right away, for example a new email and an NCAA profile. He kept me updated constantly by informing me about emails from coaches and he walked me through the steps I needed to take after verbally committing, he kept me in the loop about the work he was doing on my behalf as well. He assured me I was making the right decisions and was on the right path based on having taken the time to get to know me. Sports Ambitions also had videographers come out to my games to get quality footage for my highlight tape that ultimately landed me the offers that I received. Gabriel worked in close connection with me, he was very understanding, kind, professional and made me feel very optimistic about the progression of the recruitment. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to have helped me through this process.
𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦? "My recruiting process like many Canadian 2022 graduates was put on hold until the summer of 2021 because of the repeated lockdowns which prevented us from playing for 2 years. If I am going to be honest, the road was a bit rocky and there were times when I felt I wasn’t going get an offer to a school where I had a lot of interest in, but I always knew that everything was going to work out. It is that faith that really pushed me to keep going and manifest MTSU; in addition to the work Sports Ambitions was putting in I knew it was only a matter of time. Despite having my doubts, I believe everything works out the way it is suppose to and it is important to remember that when you feel like things are not working the way you think they should be and you’re not going to reach your goals, everything that is happening in your life is leading you to where you need to be."
